Me and my ego hahaha….
Hello and welcome to the Emotional Connectivity Podcast of the Talent Management Academy.
Last week Dagmar gave you some observations.
What did you observe?
Did you have a good connection and feel comfortable or rather the opposite?
What did you observe, in yourself and in connection with others?
What you can feel together with others……, if that had something to do with your ego? What could that be then?
What does ego actually mean?
Just adding here, you already know: Nothing is good or bad, right or wrong.
But everything that you overdo can turn from a very positive thing for you to a very negative one.
For example, I have my orangutan, he sometimes has to get up on the chair and drum around on his chest so he can show, “I’m great, I did this,” or, “Everybody listens to me.” “I want this!” “I don’t care about that.” “It’s not important to me.”
Paying attention to myself is then again, the part of my ego that is good for me, that takes care that I also pay attention to myself and not only to the others and forget myself in the process … Happens to me sometimes.
Observe yourself: When do you have your monkey or whatever on the chair and you are loud and have to show that you are right or better or important.
Or: When do you pay attention well or not at all to yourself and only to the others.
Find your ego and be aware of it.
And who wants, can let it out now consciously more or less.
Have fun with your animal.
