What are the red buttons doing? Dagmar gave you something like, deal with emotions and the question of
am I in the right job? Decisions and being autonomous. Do you have freedom of choice now?
How was it this past week with those questions in your head?
Welcome to the Talent Mangement Academy’s Emotional Connectivity Podcast, today with the topic “Penetrative questioning.”
Why would you want to do that? Who should you be doing this with? What’s the end result for you?
Example, you are in a conversation and there are sentences like, “Well, I can do that better anyway, or a sentence like,
“That’s typical for him, he always does it that way”, or “I just can’t do it, the others hinder me”.
Can you explain exactly what is meant? Or should you ask questions like –
“What exactly can you do better than who exactly?”, or also “What exactly does who exactly always do so?”, “What is so,
how exactly is it like that?”, “What exactly can’t you do and who exactly is holding you back?”
Often we all accept such sentences and do not perceive this sentence construction any more.
But if you are really interested then ask.
Ok that were now the others, your counterpart, interlocutor.
How is it with you? How do you talk to yourself internally? Do you also have such vague sentences in your head?
If yes, then ask yourself, “What exactly is it?”, “How exactly is it?”, “Who exactly?”
Clarify your ambiguities by penetrative questioning and become a little more exact with yourself.
The Talent Management Academy wishes you a lot of fun this week.
