Well, how’s that comfort zone? Have you already stepped out and breathed the air of freedom?
Free from self-imposed restrictions?
Welcome to the Emotional Connectivity Podcast from the Talent Management Academy.
Today it’s about learning without hurdles, or something like, well, where’s the resistance.
You can feel it building up and some things get pushed further back and then sometimes not done at all.
Of course, this doesn’t only apply to learning, but that’s what I want to draw your focus to today.
I have such topics as well, in which I do not learn so gladly something new.
Or also certain learning methods that I don’t like so much. Dry books for example.
The more I look at the book, the less I want to read it. Then I prefer to clean my office or something.
There I have a resistance!
As always, so here as well, first step, I know about it and can consciously feel the resistance.
So, well, and now?
Write yourself a list of moments in which you did something full of joy and full of motivation.
What was so special that you were so motivated. What was part of it and why was it so motivating? How could you then perhaps transfer this to the current learning task?
Imagine you learned it and how will you feel when you completed the learning task.
What a good feeling that will be and what you can achieve with it.
Or, just in case, imagine that the resistance would not be there. What would happen then?
How would you then shape this learning and where would your energy be then?
Now you have three possibilities to deal with it and
first perceive the resistance and then consciously deal with it.
Let’s observe and consciously do it differently.
Have fun with it!
